Location of Grassi Lakes Trailhead:

 

From Calgary:  Take the Trans-Canada Hwy/AB-1 WEST to Canmore.  Take the Three Sisters Parkway/AB-742 exit.  After the overpass, run right to stay on the Three Sisters Pkwy.  Stay on the 742 and follow the signs that lead to the Canmore Nordic Centre.  Continue 1 km past the Canmore Nordic Centre to the Grassi Lakes blue sign.  Turn left and there is a dirt parking lot on the right hand side.  Park and meet your guide. 

From Banff:  Take the Trans-Canada Hwy/AB-1 EAST to Canmore.  Take exit 89 and turn right onto Benchlands Trail.  It will curve after the lighted intersection.   Turn left onto 8th St toward Canmore Town Centre.  Continue through to the west end of downtown, turn left onto 8 Ave.  This will curve and cross the Bow River and become Rundle Dr.  Follow and it will curve left to become Three Sisters Dr.  Turn right onto Three Sisters Parkway/ AB-742 or take the signs that lead to the Canmore Nordic Centre.  Stay on the 742 and follow the signs that lead to the Canmore Nordic Centre.  Continue 1 km past the Canmore Nordic Centre to the Grassi Lakes blue sign.  Turn left and there is a dirt parking lot on the right hand side.  Park and meet your guide. 

From Canmore:  Turn onto 8th St toward Canmore Town Centre.  Continue through to the west end of downtown, turn left onto 8 Ave.  This will curve and cross the Bow River and become Rundle Dr.  Follow and it will curve left to become Three Sisters Dr.  Turn right onto Three Sisters Parkway/ AB-742 or take the signs that lead to the Canmore Nordic Centre.  Stay on the 742 and follow the signs that lead to the Canmore Nordic Centre.  Continue 1 km past the Canmore Nordic Centre to the Grassi Lakes blue sign.  Turn left and there is a dirt parking lot on the right hand side.  Park and meet your guide.
